How To Get There

Reaching St Barts By Air

St Barts boasts one of the smallest airports. Due to the lack of flat land on the island the runway at Aeroport de St Jean (aka Gustav III) airport is actually sloped. The thrilling flight takes you over La Tourmente (Mt Tourment) to land on the downhill slope of the runway. The take off is over the turquoise waters of St Jean. A thrilling ride to say the least. The flights occur hourly and only during daylight hours.

The short runway can only accommodate small propeller planes (largest plane is a 20 seater). The runway can not support larger aircraft requiring St Barts travelers to connect through local airports. There are no direct flights from the United States, Canada or Europe.
