Located on a hill above the scenic Vitet area of St. Barts, the family-friendly Villa Carmen is a newly built property that offers a tremendous range of amenities and comforts along with its premium setting. Tucked into a lush landscape of mature palms and tropical plants.
A three-bedroom property, it features a stunning array of outdoor living spaces meant to emphasize the appeal of the setting. Nowhere is this more obvious than the pool area. With the uniquely shaped pool, surrounded by its appealing wooden terrace, guests can sunbathe on the oversized beds, lounge in the full-sized outdoor living room, or enjoy meals and drinks around the al fresco dining table. Around one side of the terrace you also find the barbecue space with dining niche, and this opens into the kitchen.
The covered terrace area is sure to become a favorite gathering spot, and it features a simple and streamlined décor that emphasizes a palette of white, grey and a few citrus hues. This uncluttered approach to living spaces carries over into the interiors. Just steps from the terrace, it continues the simple and streamlined approach, but injects much more color.
The great room uses the standard high ceilings and pale white palette, but features bold hues of red and lime along with accents of black to create a very contemporary feel in the living room and entertainment space, the breakfast bar, and the full-sized kitchen. A truly gourmet kitchen, it offers stainless appliances and remains open to the great room and to the porch. A separate home theater is just off this space.
The three bedrooms offer privacy. Two are queen suites with terrace views and another offers dual twin beds ideal for kids or teens. All have views to the terrace and garden, and private baths.
The Villa Carmen is a welcome retreat in a gorgeous part of St. Barts.
We loved everything about this house. The decoration, the view and the practicality. There are many beautiful villas but this house has soul.
Villa Carmen is a nice villa - clean, contemporary and very private. The master bedroom is very clean and spacious. In the master bathroom, there's a skylight that can make the bedroom bright (there needs to be a way to block the sunlight if you would like to). Overall, the villa was excellent. The only downside is that the ocean view is distant.

While available for advanced requests, the concierge team connects with guests 30 days prior to arrival to coordinate arrivals and to reserve desired services and experiences. Guests with scheduled Christmas/New Year stays will be contacted 90 days prior to arrival.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.
The arrival procedures due vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.
